Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Spring Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for March! Today we are sharing “Celebrate Spring” projects. You will find links at the bottom of my post to hop you along the way to the projects. Be sure to check out all of our talented team members projects to see how they interpreted the theme and what they have made for you!

I used the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set from the 2021 January to June Mini Catalog (with a few other select stamps and dies) to make a Thinking of You Card with bright Spring colors and flowers that would brighten anyone’s day! There are links to the products used at the end of the blog. I hope you enjoy the card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), largest Stitched Rectangle Dies die cut, and the middle Stitched Shapes Dies circle die cut.
  • Garden Green Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″

The Creating

  • I began by tracing the outline of the Stitched Shapes Dies medium circle onto the center of the Stitched Rectangles Dies die cut lightly with a pencil. This provided me with a stamping guide to know what would and what wouldn’t show from beneath the actual mounted die cut.
  • I then used Magenta Madness Ink to ink the top three flowers on the largest floral stamp in the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it once at the top and once at the bottom of the circle.
  • Using Gorgeous Grape Ink, I stamped the double floral image from the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set once on the left and once on the right of the circle.
  • With Bumblebee Ink, I added four of the small floral image from the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set in between the purple and pink images.
  • I then stamped the tiny flower from Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set (2020-22 Annual Catalog) with Seaside Spray Ink.
  • Finally I added the double leaf image from Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set (2020-22 Annual Catalog) in Garden Green Ink.
  • With Garden Green Ink, I stamped the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set centered inside the Stitched Shapes Dies circle die cut. I also stamped the greeting from the Happy Thoughts Cling Stamp Set on the inside of the card base.
  • I repeated the flowers on the inside of the card and on the envelope flap. Don’t you love a matching set?
  • To assemble the card front I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the stamped Stitched Rectangle to the Garden Green panel and then both to the card base. I erased the pencil marks and then popped the Stitched Shapes die cut on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • To embellish, I added three Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

Stampin’ Up! Celebration Labels Dies Floral Congratulations Card

This card features the Celebration Labels Dies and the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set. I saw Dena Rekow at The Creativity Cave use this set with the Celebration Labels Dies and thought it went well together. Here’s my version. It is a Congratulations card for a young stamping couple I know who is getting married soon. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Thick Whisper White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: second largest Celebration Labels Die
  • Seaside Spay Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: scraps for 2 Celebration Labels sprig dies and the sentiment banner.

The Creating

  • Use Seaside Spray ink to stamp the large floral image from Beautiful Friendship on the Celebration Labels die and the envelope flap.
  • Mask the floral image and use Pear Pizzazz ink to stamp the 3 leaf image in 1st Generation and the double leave image in 2nd Generation.
  • Use Crushed Curry ink to stamp the frond image in 2nd Generation.
  • Use Basic Gray ink to stamp the sentiments on the Pear Pizzazz scrap and one of the Seaside Spray panels. Stamp the small flower image and the double leaf image in 2nd Generation over the inside sentiment and adhere to the inside of the card.
  • Flag the ends of the sentiment strip with the Banner Triple Punch.
  • Emboss the remaining Seaside Spray panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere the stamped Celebration Label die to the center with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop these layers up on the card front.
  • Cut the two sprig dies from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and adhere them to the stamped image. Use dimensionals to pop on the sentiment banner.
  • Tap the Wink of Stella against a bone folder over the card for a sprinkle of sparkle.

Lovely Floral Card

I have a friend in Amsterdam who has a beautiful garden. She has just had serious surgery. Three years ago, when I had surgery, she sent me a card with dutch tulips on it. We mainly communicate through the chat on a game we play (my husband calls us “Modern Day Pen Pals”), but it is such a treat to get real mail from a far away place. Here is what I made to mail to her.

The Cutting

  • Whisper White Cardstock – two 5 1/4″ x 4″, and 2 1/2″ x 1 3/4″
  • Garden Green Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • I ran the small piece of Whisper White through my die cut machine with the Stitched Oval (2 1/4″ x 1 1/4″).

The Stamping

  • I used the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the roses in Flirty Flamingo on one of the 5 1/4″ x 4″ Whisper Whites. I added the flower centers in Gray Granite. I added the leaves in Garden Green.
  • I stamped the roses and leaves on the lower right corner of the inside Whisper White panel and glued it with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.
  • I stamped the roses and leaves on the lower left corner of the envelope. So fun to have matching sets.
  • I stamped the You Are Loved sentiment from the Forever Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink on the Whisper White Oval. I adhered this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (using a double one where the “d” overhung the lower frame).

The Finish

  • I used my paper trimmer to cut out the center with a 3/4″ border to make a frame. You could use rectangle dies if you prefer.
  • I glued the floral frame to the card front with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.
  • I glued the floral insert to the rectangle of Garden Green Cardstock. I adhered this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimenstionals to give it a pop.
  • I added three Pearl Basic Jewels (the rule of 3s in art).

I hope you enjoyed this lovely card and I hope it will brighten my friend, Matty’s, day.

Happy Stamp Dabbling!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Card

Today I created this beautiful card with the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set. This is a gorgeous floral set that has shading built in. I’ve added even more with the multiple ink colors I chose.

I was inspired by the colors of the season and the Sunday Stamps challenge. Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC214

All of the stamped images have 3 colors in them achieved with the rolling technique or by using a sponge dabber (smaller flowers) or a Stampin’ Write marker (large double rose). The message is from the To Every Season Photopolymer Set and the Stitched Shapes oval is raised by Stampin’ Dimensionals.
